My brother lives in Tokyo, and recently married a woman there. I love her and her family very much! Her parents speak little English, so it is always a fun challenge to communicate with them. They have been here in America visiting for the past week, and it's been a blast!
Today, we all went to an outdoor mall. I'm not a big shopper, so I stayed outside and drew a wrinkly bald merfish on a rock. I sat it under a small bush, introducing it to its new habitat. My brother's wife's parents sat down on the bench outside of the shop. I pointed to the rock under the bush, but they weren't sure what I was pointing at. I walked over, picked it up, and showed it to them. They were so excited about it that they insisted on keeping it. It made me so happy that they enjoyed it that much. My brother's wife's mom held it like a gem and placed it in her purse. Best ever!!!
